Calculation History

Review, reuse, and manage your past cost calculations

What Gets Saved

When you save a calculation from the 3D Print Cost Calculator, the following is stored:

  • Model/Job Name: The name you gave the calculation
  • Print Time: Estimated duration
  • Filament Used: Weight and selected material/color
  • Cost Breakdown: Material, electricity, labor, markup
  • Final Price: Total calculated price
  • Date Saved: Timestamp of when it was calculated

Viewing Your History

Access calculation history from multiple places:

📊 From the Calculator

Click the "History" tab or icon in the calculator to see your recent calculations.

📋 From Dashboard

Navigate to Dashboard → History for a full list with filtering options.

Reusing Calculations

Past calculations can be loaded back into the calculator:

  1. 1. Find the calculation in your history
  2. 2. Click on the entry or click "Load"
  3. 3. The calculator will populate with all the saved values
  4. 4. Modify any values as needed
  5. 5. Recalculate to get updated pricing

Tip: This is great for repeat orders - load the original calculation, adjust quantities, and you're ready to quote!

Creating Orders from History

Turn a saved calculation into an order:

  1. 1. Open the calculation from history
  2. 2. Click "Create Order"
  3. 3. Select or add a client
  4. 4. Review order details
  5. 5. Save the new order

Filtering & Searching

Filter Options

  • Search: Find by model/job name
  • Date Range: Filter by when calculated
  • Material: Filter by filament type used
  • Price Range: Find calculations within a price range

Deleting History Entries

To delete a calculation from history:

  1. Hover over the entry
  2. Click the delete icon (trash can)
  3. Confirm the deletion

Note: Deleted entries cannot be recovered. Any orders created from that calculation will still exist.
