Printer Status Management

Monitor and manage your printer states in the queue

Printer Status Types

Each printer can be in one of the following states:

Ready / Idle

The printer is powered on, connected, and ready to accept new print jobs. If there are jobs in the queue, the next one will start automatically.

Printing

The printer is actively printing a job. The progress bar shows completion percentage, and estimated time remaining is displayed.

Paused

The current print has been paused. This can be triggered manually or automatically (e.g., filament runout detected). Resume or cancel from the job menu.

Maintenance

The printer is marked for maintenance. Jobs will not be automatically started. Use this when performing cleaning, calibration, or repairs.

Offline

The printer is not connected or powered off. Check your printer connection and power supply.

Changing Printer Status

To change a printer's status:

  1. Find the printer card in the Print Queue
  2. Click the status indicator or the "..." menu
  3. Select "Change Status"
  4. Choose the new status from the dropdown
  5. Add an optional note explaining the change

Note: Setting a printer to Maintenance will not cancel any active print job. Make sure to complete or cancel the current job first.

Auto-Start Feature

When a printer becomes ready (idle), the queue can automatically start the next job:

Auto-Start Settings

  • Enabled: Next job starts automatically when printer becomes ready
  • Disabled: Jobs must be manually started from the queue

Toggle auto-start from the printer card's settings menu. This setting is saved per-printer.
