Learn how to fill out model details for proper organization and tracking

Model Name

The model name is the primary identifier for your 3D model in the library.

Required Field

Model name is the only required field. All other information is optional but recommended for better organization.

Naming Best Practices

Good Examples:

  • Dragon Figurine - Medium Size
  • Succulent Planter v3
  • Phone Stand - Adjustable

Avoid:

  • model1 - Too generic
  • untitled_final_FINAL_v2_ACTUAL - Too messy
  • !@#$%Model - Special characters

Pro Tip: Use descriptive names that help you identify the model at a glance. Include key details like size, version, or purpose.

SKU (Stock Keeping Unit)

Use SKUs to track inventory for models you sell or produce in quantity.

SKU Options

Limited SKU

Enter a specific number to track limited inventory.

Example:25- You have 25 units available

Unlimited SKU

Enter 0 for models printed on-demand with no inventory limit.

Example:0- Displays as "∞ Unlimited" in library

No SKU

Leave blank if you don't need SKU tracking.

Example:(empty)- Displays as "-" in library

When to Use SKUs

  • Selling pre-printed models with limited stock
  • Tracking inventory for trade shows or events
  • Managing production batches
  • Integrating with external inventory systems

Designer

Track who designed the model for attribution and licensing purposes.

Designer Attribution

Enter your name for original designs
Enter the creator's name for purchased or downloaded models
Include username if from a marketplace (e.g., "JohnDoe3D")
Leave blank if designer is unknown

Organize models by category for easy filtering and browsing in your library.

If none of the predefined categories fit your model, select "Custom" and enter your own category name.

Marketplace

Track which marketplace you're selling the model on for multi-platform sales management.

Custom Marketplace

If you sell on a platform not listed, select "Custom" and enter the marketplace name.

Select "Not For Sale" for personal projects, prototypes, or models you're not currently selling.

Description

Add detailed notes about the model for future reference.

What to Include

  • Purpose or use case of the model
  • Special features or design elements
  • Recommended print settings or materials
  • Assembly instructions for multi-part models
  • Customer requests or customization notes
  • Size specifications or scaling recommendations

Example Description

"Articulated dragon figurine with movable wings and tail. Best printed in PLA with 0.2mm layer height. Requires no supports if oriented properly. Popular item for fantasy enthusiasts. Scales well from 50% to 200%."

Pro Tip: Detailed descriptions help you remember important details months later and make it easier to replicate successful prints.
